An Open Invitation To All Concerned Christians
Posted By Yowan on Thursday, March 20th, 2008 at 5:02 pmBrothers in Christ, (Gospel Light Society) piously invites you to be a PIP (a seed) in ‘Partners in Prayer Chain” to pray and placate the Almighty Father to help us through, with the super-problems besetting our country and people today. We urge that petitions, prayers, requests, and thanksgivings be offered to God (YAOHU) for all people, for all who are in authority, that we may live a quiet and peaceful life with all the reverence towards God and with proper conduct. This is good and pleases God our Saviour, who wants everyone to be saved and to come to know the truth. (1 Tim.2:1-4)
WHY MUST WE PRAY? Because, the Philippines today is acutely afflicted by a delibitating and devastating “SOCIAL VENUM” manifesting itself in wanton disregard for human life and dignity; various forms of criminality; political opportunism, inordinate desire for material possessions, power, prestige and privileges at any cost. As a result. Graft and corruption, drug trafficking, kidnapping for ransom, bank robberies, carnapping, financial scams, sex related crimes and many, many more other crimes are vexing our social order. All these happenings, hugging the headlines of the tri-media clearly show, how sick and rotten our society is.
These problems before us, both man-made and natural catastrophe, seem to have no letdown, which brings us to the TRUTH in what in the Lord YAOHUSHUA (Jesus)
Says, you can do nothing without me. (Jn. 15:5) Indeed, we need and we must seek “Divine Help” for all these super-problems. We must placate and appease the Almighty Father YAOHU. In the way He wants us to do, through prayers; NOT through placards; prayers as HE wants us to pray; NOT in the way we presume to be God’s way.
Whenever TWO of you on earth AGREE ABOUT ANYTHING YOU PRAY FOR, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where TWO or THREE come together in my name (what is His name), I am there with them. (Mt. 18:19-20)
When you pray, do not be like the HYPOCRITES! They love to stand up and pray in the houses of worship and on the street corners so that everyone will see them…
But when you pray, go to your room, close the door, and pray to your Father who is unseen, (Spirit) And your Father who sees what you do in private, will reward you. When you pray, do not use a lot of meaningless words… This, then, is how you should pray. (The Lord’s Prayer, a simple prayer Christ gave us) (Mt.6{5-13)
Let us pray, therefore, that the misguided elements of our society see the Light, the way, the truth, and the life, and desist from doing these socially and morally detestable and highly undesirable acts of criminality.
